1. Open Internet Explorer and type ftp:// followed by your FTP host in the "Address bar" (eg: ftp://ftp.example.com). Hit Enter. 2. Type your FTP username and password. Click "Log On". 3. Internet Explorer will connect to the server and will show the contents of the root directory on the FTP server. You should see a directory named after your website ( www.hostaggio.com in our example ). Double click this directory. 4. You should see three subdirectories : cgi-bin -> upload your cgi scripts here htdocs -> upload your web pages here logs -> download your server's log files from here Assuming that you want to upload web pages, double click the 'htdocs' directory. 5. Open Windows Explorer (or double click "My Computer") and browse to the directory on your computer where the files you want to upload are located. Position the Windows Explorer window so you can see both it and the Internet Explorer window. Simply drag and drop the files from the Windows Explorer window to Internet Explorer window to upload them. 6. When the upload is complete the uploaded files will appear in the Internet Explorer window.
